Preparing For Your Visit

We at Tri-City Pediatric Cardiology look forward to offering your family the best quality service.  In order to prepare for your visit we advise all patients, but especially anyone new to our practice, to review the information below.

How long should I expect my visit to take?

We want our patients to leave their appointments with the results of all testing we perform during your visit.  As part of your visit we may perform an Echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart).  This test can take up to 30 minutes to perform and then must be interpreted by our Physicians in order to give you same day results.  Our new patients will often have an Echocardiogram as part of their initial visit.  Additionally new patients will need to fill out our new patient tablets which can take 15 mins to complete.

Because of this we ask new patients to expect a visit time of up to 2 hours.  Our follow-up patients not requiring an Echocardiogram should expect visits to be roughly 30 minutes.

How can I help to decrease my wait time during my visit?

What do I need to bring to my visit?

Do I need to be at the visit with my child?

All children under the age of 18 years old who are NOT legally emancipated must be accompanied by a family member / guardian.  Until a patient is older than 18 years of age they cannot be seen alone.

If I would like my child’s health information restricted may I do that?

During check-in you will be asked if you would like to add a password to your account and we will not share medical information unless the password is given.  We are legally unable to restrict information on a child from a parent unless there is a court order that is provided stating this.
